ARTIST. HOMESTEADER.  PHOTO GEEK.

Hi, I'm Lauren!

There’s no shortage of talented photographers in the New England area who could deliver a beautiful gallery of photos.  And honestly, booking me might require a little more work than other photographers. I don’t just want to meet you on the day of your session, snap some quick pictures, send you your gallery, and never talk to you again. I need to understand your vision for this photography session. I want the photographs to capture the essence of YOU and the micro moment of your life story that the day you book me will bring us.

I want you to relax knowing that I will become your second maid of honor on your big day... and your kids can be kids during our family session. No amount of imperfect,  wild, tears, or sassy toddler attitude is going to scare me off (I've seen it all!) Even if things get chaotic my goal is to find the best in those in-between moments.

I have over 15 years in the field - I am now a mother, and wife, farmer.. artist second! This means I only take on around 30 clients per year! I find that any more creates not enough family time for me. This also means you will get your galleries back much faster then your typical professional photographer.

I hold my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rhode Island College (May 2012). and also my Masters of Fine Arts degree from The Herron School of Art and Design, Indiana University. (May 2014). My favorite tool for magical creation is the camera second is the paint brush!

Artist Statement

I have always been fascinated by the fact that, even in our largest attempts to become grounded in reality, we always feel a craving for escape, for nostalgia, for fairy tales, for the dreams of childhood, and our most desired fantasies. A daydream can seem to happen fast and are over before we blink our eyes.
These little moments are often invisible, mundane realities until I reveal them through images of landscape and still life-more specifically, through the orchard, diverging paths in forests, and domestic space.

“We dream of traveling through the world. But isn’t the world within us?

We little know the depths of our own minds. The mysterious road goes inwards.” - Novalis
